‘Jack’ is an excellent producer who has sired many foals for us that are excelling in the show ring or as family horses.  He is green broke to ride and drive.  He is a sweetheart and an easy stallion to have around. The only reason he’s offered is because I don’t need 2 stallions for my 3 mares!

Breeding:

– Live covers in-hand or pasture breeding. Will jump the dummy and collect no problem but I’ve not found the right protocol to get him to chill. Likely something that a capable repro vet/center could accomplish but I’ve not pursued it

– Bloodlines include The Lob, Sid’s Good Stallion and Lion King

– Generous with his gorgeous movement, cute head, and feather

– Easy to handle

Performance:

– Green broke to ride and drive- skills that we do not use consistently but he took to both easily

– Jack has spent a bit of time working in the woods with our logging crew and also pulled the sled for the kids at Christmas.  He has only been driven double (with our other Gypsy stallion) but would not be hard to transition to single work

– Rated 4 stars at his GVHS evaluation- first time leaving his girls and being off the farm, with a novice handler to boot. Given his mental and physical maturity since then I firmly believe he could be a 5 star stud if he was reevaluated now 🙂
