GVHS Affiliate Award Program
The Gypsy Vanner Horse Society recognizes Gypsy Vanner horses that compete in other organizations—such as United States Dressage Federation, Equine Trail Sports, and USA Working Equitation—based on the official year-end results from those organizations.
GVHS does not create separate rankings. Instead, it recognizes horses that place 1st through 10th in their respective affiliate organization’s year-end standings. Awards are presented at the Annual Meeting and recognized in the Vanner Magazine.
To be eligible for GVHS affiliate recognition:
- The horse must be registered with GVHS.
- The owner of record must be a current GVHS member.
- The owner must also be a current member of the affiliate organization where the award is earned.
- The exhibitor (rider) does not need to be a GVHS member. This applies to both Open and Amateur divisions.
Awards are based solely on the horse’s official year-end placement or ranking within the affiliate organization.
